Honda was founded in September of the year 1948 by Soichiro Honda who had been working around the industry for a number of years before Honda existed as a company. They built their first ever motorbike a year after the company was founded in 1949, and since then Honda has become the world’s leading manufacturer with regards to motorbikes, and they have held that title since 1959. It wasn’t until the early sixties before Honda started manufacturing automobiles, the first being the T360 mini pick-up truck, followed one month later by the S500 sports car.
Since then Honda has remained a key player in all sectors of the motor industry, and they have even dabbled in designing robots and jets etc, so they are constantly pushing the boundaries with innovative technology. Considering Honda was founded some 50 years after many of its competitors, its routes are deep and it has caught up extremely well. Some of Honda’s most well known automobiles include the Honda Civic and the Honda Accord.
